Congressman Gohmert (R-Asparagus) may no longer be the Dumbest Man in Congress or the craziest after the 2014 midterms conclude. Gohmert’s throne, once thought safe by liberal pundits, is now threatened by the newest crop of Republicans running to replace the ones retiring after this year.

The New York Times:

One nominee proposed reclassifying single parenthood as child abuse. Another suggested that four “blood moons” would herald “world-changing, shaking-type events” and said Islam was not a religion but a “complete geopolitical structure” unworthy of tax exemption. Still another labeled Hillary Rodham Clinton “the Antichrist.”

In other words, yes, it’s about to get worse.
